The Most durable Quartz Worktops

Quartz is extremely durable with a scratch sand scorch resistant surface. Quartz worktops are solid pieces with the stone embedded in acrylic, there are no edges as such to be cut and covered with laminate. This means that within limits, quartz worktops are obtainable in virtually any size or shape.

These are formed by using this material and a small amount of polymer to create the finished product. So it can be obtained in colors not found in nature; from pure white to the deepest black, through naturals and primaries, including a vibrant red. The crushed quartz crystals give the quartz worktops a sense of light glowing out from within and even the darker coloured can light up a darker corner, due to the reflections, because of the reflective pieces, it looks different when viewed from different angles and if the kitchen is light differently during the day and night, then there will even be a very different effect at different times of a day. A kitchen fitted with quartz worktops in a pale colour will have a cool glow at twilight, where as a red one will spring alive in bright lighting.

It is nonporous nature makes it almost impervious and because of this it does not need to be sealed or treated unlike many other kitchen worktop surfaces. This makes it virtually maintenance free. Being nonporous also makes it more difficult for bacteria. Microban is a trademark antibacterial compound that’s mixed into this material and resin, actually making it part of the structure. Over all it is attractive, affordable and safe for any home.
